Designing Your Cabinets
Austin Wood Works, Inc. utilizes the most advanced
cabinet design software available. After your cabinet
designs have been approved for accuracy, they are sent through
several post-processors, converted into code and sent down to our
computerized machines for processing. We pride ourselves in
our ability to stay on top of the technology available.

The initial meeting is for you to meet your cabinet specialist
and discuss all cabinets to be installed in every room
of your home. He or she will ask you questions to get your ideas on what
you're looking for in the design of your cabinets, and to offer
his or her opinion and other options you may not have thought of. We
encourage you to bring pictures that you find in magazines or
design books to illustrate the style of cabinetry you
are seeking.
The detailer will take all of the information and examples from
the initial meeting and create a set of shop drawings, which will help
you visualize your cabinets. At this time, a second meeting is
scheduled to review these drawings. The shop drawings allow you to
view any changes or additions to the cabinets that were made. If
there were significant changes made du
ring the second meeting, there
may be a need for a third
meeting. We try to be flexible and prompt with the meetings so we can meet
your schedule. Nevertheless, we will continue to revise the drawings of your
cabinets until you are happy.
