Austin’s HGTV Smart Home 2015

HGTV has chosen Austin, Texas, as the location of its third-annual HGTV Smart Home.

Built by Riverside Homes for HGTV, the Smart Home 2015 was designed to showcase the latest in home technology and green building techniques, but for this home, smart living is also about quality of life.

Live it up in the HGTV Smart Home 2015, where the garage door texts you when it’s left open, the laundry does itself while you’re out, and even the shower has a remote control. Designer finishes in a beautifully landscaped setting with an amazing home automation and audio/visual system, stunning master suite, screened porch and pergola with grill.

To make this charming kitchen completely functional, interior designer Linda Woodrum opted for a triangle-style workspace. “When I think of smart design, I think of wisely designing a home that functions well on a high level, so that’s what Kelly Mockingbird, the design coordinator, and I tried to do through this whole process,” explains Linda. “It works well. Everything is in that small triangle, and it’s just very usable and functional.”

With a functional triangle layout, beautiful modern cabinetry and some luxurious add-ons, this neutral kitchen is one of the best rooms in the house.

Austin Wood Works, Inc. is pleased to announce, that Scott Turner with Riverside Homes, chose us to supply all the cabinetry in Austin's 2015 HGTV Smart Home.
